The new amendment to the factory waste management regime, which will be fully effective from 1 November 2023 (one section is effective already from 1 June 2023), stipulates the legal obligations for both waste generators and processors, and holds factories responsible for managing the waste they generate. For instance, waste generators must submit an annual report of the collection of unmanaged waste and the management of waste inside the factory premises to the Department of Industrial Works, etc.
