The exemption on import duties covers nine main parts, which will be used in domestic manufacturing or assembly of battery EVs (BEVs) or battery-powered electric boats to promote the domestic production of electric vehicles (EV) and strengthen the domestic EV supply chain. The Cabinet has approved a draft royal decree under the Financial Institution Business Act (the “FIBA”) to regulate the business of Hire Purchase and Leasing of Cars and Motorcycles operated by non-banks. Under the amendment to the Labour Protection Act which will become effective on 18 April 2023, agreements on remote working required to be in writing or in electronic format. Examples of key provisions are also provided. Furthermore, this amendment introduces the “right to disconnect”, which is the employee’s right to refuse any contact from the employer after the end of the normal working hours without prior written consent.
