The Thai government has implemented a temporary visa exemption scheme, aiming to enhance trade, investment and business partnerships with Japan. This scheme allows holders of Japanese ordinary passports to enter and stay in Thailand for short-term business engagements, such as participating in business meetings with partners or companies, for a period not exceeding 30 days. This scheme has been effective from 1 January 2024 onwards and will expire on 31 December 2026.
