Peerapan is a corporate and M&A partner in the Bangkok office with specialties in highly regulated industries, including the healthcare industry. She chaired the AEC Healthcare Harmonization sub-committee of Baker & McKenzie's Asia Pacific Healthcare Industry Group from 2007-2013. In the Bangkok office, she heads the Healthcare Industry Group and co-leads the Mergers & Acquisitions practice group and Japan Advisory Group.



Suriyong Tungsuwan: Partner

Suriyong co-leads the Japan Advisory Group in Bangkok. He also leads the Trade & Commerce, Customs and Labour and Employment Practice Groups. Over 30 years of practice with the Firm, Suriyong has become well-recognized for advising leading multinational, including Japanese, and local companies in various industries in a broad range of commercial transactions and matters. His expertise lies in foreign direct investment, mergers and acquisitions, labour and employment, real estate, hotel/resort and property development, customs and trade matters.

Viroj Piyawattanametha serves as a member of the Bangkok office’s Capital Markets & Securitization and Project Finance practice groups. At Baker & McKenzie, he has advised global major banks, financial institutions and securities companies for more than 15 years. In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Piyawattanametha authored numerous articles on debt instruments.



Noriko Sakamoto: Partner

Noriko Sakamoto is active in Bangkok Office's Corporate and M&A Practice Group. Since joining Baker & McKenzie's Bangkok Office in 2008, she has been a core member of the Japan Advisory Group. She has been working with multinational investors, especially from Japan, actively assisting them with their direct investments in Thailand, and in their acquisition of local and multinational companies in Thailand.  She contributes to clients' business expansion with her wide experience in M&A and FDI in various industries, including those highly regulated under specific laws, such as consumer finance, insurance and logistics, pharmaceutical and medical devices.

He has assisted a large number of multinational clients, including major Japanese, European and US clients, in various sectors like electronics, automotive, logistics, recruitment, retail, IT services and heavy machinery. He advises on issues that typically concern foreign investors, like foreign investment laws, mergers & acquisitions, and corporate structures.
